I wasn't sure if the timing would be right to match the moonset with an alpenglow sunrise, when I first set off early in the morning. An hour of splitboarding later brought me to the wonderful tree that you see on the right side of the frame. As I was going to snowboard down the mountain after taking the shot, I was equally thrilled with the untouched powder snow on the left. The mountain, moon, and sunrise color brought it all together.
