I discovered this composition almost a year prior to me getting this image. I kept returning to the area, stumbling across the sharp, jagged lava rocks, hoping for colorful clouds but also a clear view of the mountains. I love how the old pine tree frames Mt Bachelor, a very Central Oregon scene.
